MINI NOSH 2018!!!
We're excited to announce Nosh Berlin's Mini Nosh! What's a Mini Nosh? Just a few Jewish food events to give you a taste before Nosh Berlin returns for a full-week format in 2019. What do we have going on?
Wednesday, March 14th:
Mitzvah Lunch at Morus14. A verein founded to help the community of the Rollberg Kiez, Morus14 provides free private after-school lessons and group activities for local children, providing them a safe and educational space to congregate during non-school hours. Additionally, Morus14 collaborates with Shalom Rollberg to engage Jewish and Israeli volunteers in its activities to help create connections and fight antisemitism. Once a week, Morus14 holds a subsidized 3-course community lunch cooked by volunteers, mostly immigrants themselves. The lunch is a social project to bring people together and varies according to the chef's background. Persian, Korean, Syrian, etc. On March 14th, Nosh Berlin and Elements of Food will take over the kitchen to cook a 3-course Tunisian Jewish lunch, with charity tickets being sold with all profits going to Morus14 to support this important culinary and community building project! Tickets are limited and cost 40 euros.
Thursday, March 15th:
Kreplach! Join chef Itay Novik for a kreplach-making workshop. The celebrated Ashkenazi dumpling that spawned the phrase, "May you be so rich you eat kreplach every day!" Participants will make, cook, and eat their own kreplach!
Sunday, March 18th
The Nosh Market at Markthalle Neun! Blintzes, bialys, shakshukas, kugels, music, and more! 10:00-17:00
